1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Ascent, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws.
If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.
Conditions of Acceptance:
- These terms take effect on the date of acceptance during registration;
- You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/legal guardian consent;
- By accepting, you declare that you have read and fully understood these terms;
- Continued use of the service implies acceptance of future updates to these terms.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- Ascent: Plugin for Autodesk Revit developed by Ascent Projetos LTDA, including all its features, modules, and updates;
- Free Account: Basic version of Ascent with limited features, available at no cost;
- Paid Plans: Monthly or annual subscriptions that unlock premium modules and advanced features;
- User: Individual or legal entity that creates an account and uses the service;
- Modules: Specific feature sets of the plugin (e.g., Quantities Module, BIM Export Module);
- Project: .rvt (Revit) file linked to the user’s account;
- User Data: Registration information, projects, settings, and telemetry data;
- Platform: Integrated system composed of the plugin (desktop) and web portal (ascent.app.br).
3. License of Use
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Ascent in accordance with the established terms.
You MAY:
- Use the plugin for commercial and personal projects;
- Export data generated by the plugin;
- Delete your account and user information at any time;
- Cancel your subscription at any time.
You MAY NOT:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the plugin code;
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software;
- Remove watermarks, copyright notices, or intellectual property indications;
- Use the plugin for illegal or unauthorized purposes;
- Share access credentials with third parties;
- Use scraping or automation techniques to extract data from the system.
Per-Device Licensing:
Each license is individual and allows the plugin to be installed on multiple devices. However, only the most recent session will remain active, and simultaneous use on more than one device is prohibited. For companies or teams with multiple users, corporate licenses must be purchased (check our plans).
4. Free Account Limitations
The free account provides basic access to Ascent with the following technical limitations.
Usage Restrictions:
- Support via email and Discord (response time: up to 72 business hours);
- Access only to basic modules (no premium modules);
- Limited cloud storage.
Features Available in the Free Version:
- Basic features of the Ascent.MEP module, including commands for 3D modeling;
- Basic features of the Ascent.Publish module, including exporting PDF and DWG files;
- Integration with Revit;
- Automatic plugin updates.
To remove these limitations and access advanced features, upgrade to a paid plan.
5. Paid Plans and Upgrade
Ascent offers monthly and annual paid plans with different access levels.
Paid Plan Benefits:
- Removal of all free account limitations;
- Access to premium modules (according to the chosen plan);
- Priority support via live chat;
- Increased cloud storage.
Upgrade Process:
- Go to “My Account” > “Plans and Subscriptions”;
- Select the desired plan (Monthly or Annual);
- Enter payment details;
- Confirm and wait for activation (instant).
Billing:
- Monthly plans: automatic renewal on the same day each month;
- Annual plans: automatic renewal after 12 months;
- You will receive an email notification 7 days before renewal;
- Payment is processed via Stripe.
6. Payment and Refund Policy
Accepted Payment Methods:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Elo);
- Bank slip (Boleto bancário);
- Pix (instant payment).
Refund Policy:
- 7-day guarantee after the first purchase (Consumer Protection Code - CDC Art. 49);
- Refunds are processed within 10 business days using the same payment method;
- Cancellation can be done at any time through the “My Account” panel;
- No pro-rated refunds on annual plans after the 7-day guarantee period;
- Downgrades take effect only at the next billing cycle.
Taxes and Fees:
All displayed prices are in Brazilian Reais (BRL) and already include applicable taxes (ISS, PIS, COFINS). Bank fees (e.g., bank slip) may apply depending on the payment method.
Non-Payment:
- In case of payment failure, you will have 7 days to resolve it;
- After 7 days, the account will be automatically downgraded to the free plan;
- Projects and data are retained, but premium features will be disabled.
7. Technical Requirements
To use Ascent, your system must meet the following technical requirements:
Software:
- Autodesk Revit: Versions 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026;
- Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11;
- .NET Framework: 4.7.2 or higher (automatically installed by the installer);
- Internet Connection: Required for activation and synchronization.
Hardware (Minimum):
- Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (or higher);
- RAM: Minimum 8GB (16GB recommended for large projects);
- Disk Space: 500MB free for installation;
- Graphics Card: DirectX 11 compatible;
- Screen Resolution: Minimum 1280x720 (1920x1080 recommended).
Compatibility:
For Mac: Revit is Windows-only. Mac users can use virtual machines (Parallels, VMware) or Boot Camp, but performance may be compromised.
⚠️ Important Notice: Revit versions prior to 2021 are NOT supported. The plugin is not compatible with Revit LT.
8. Intellectual Property
All code, design, brand, content, and documentation of Ascent are the exclusive property of Ascent Projetos LTDA and are protected by intellectual property laws of Brazil and international treaties.
You agree that:
- You will not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the software;
- You will not remove, alter, or conceal copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary notices;
- You will respect all intellectual property rights associated with Ascent;
- You will not use the “Ascent” brand or logos without prior written authorization.
Rights Over Your Data:
You retain all rights to the projects, BIM models, and data you create or import into Ascent. We grant ourselves only a limited license to store and process such data to provide the service.
Feedback and Suggestions:
Any feedback, improvement suggestions, or ideas you share with us may be freely used by Ascent Projetos LTDA without compensation or attribution.
Violations:
Intellectual property violations will be treated seriously, including immediate account suspension and applicable legal actions.
9. Limitation of Liability
Ascent is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Warranty Disclaimers:
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- We are not responsible for data loss caused by bugs, crashes, server failures, or other technical issues;
- We do not guarantee compatibility with all hardware/software configurations;
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost business opportunities, or consequential damages.
Damage Limitation:
Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the subscription in the 12 months immediately preceding the event that caused the damage.
User Responsibility:
- Always back up your projects before using the plugin;
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data generated by the plugin;
- We recommend testing the plugin on non-critical projects before using it in production;
- Consult a qualified professional to validate quantity and budget results.
Force Majeure:
We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our control (natural disasters, wars, pandemics, third-party cyberattacks, internet infrastructure failures, etc.).
10. Privacy and Data Collection
Your privacy is important. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Data Collected:
- Registration information: Name, email, company, phone (optional);
- Plugin usage data: Anonymous telemetry of features used (without access to project content);
- Error logs: Technical information for debugging (stack traces, Revit version, operating system);
- Payment data: Processed by a third-party gateway (we do not store complete card data);
- Synced files: Projects saved to the cloud (only if you choose to use this feature).
LGPD Compliance (General Data Protection Law):
We are in full compliance with Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD). You have the following rights:
- Access your personal data;
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
- Request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data;
- Revoke consent at any time;
- Data portability to another provider.
Security:
We use SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission, secure storage on ISO 27001 certified servers, and regular security audits.
Data Sharing:
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may only be shared with: payment processors, hosting providers (Supabase/AWS), and legal authorities when required by law.
11. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time, at our sole discretion.
Update Process:
- We publish the new version on this page with the last updated date;
- We notify users via email (registered address) about significant changes;
- Changes take effect 7 calendar days after publication;
- Minor changes (text corrections, clarifications) take effect immediately.
Acceptance of Changes:
By continuing to use Ascent after changes take effect, you automatically agree to the new terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must cancel your account before they take effect.
User Notification:
Significant changes (e.g., price changes, refund policy changes, new technical requirements) will be notified via:
- Email to the registered address;
- In-app notification when opening the plugin;
- Banner on the web portal login page.

12. Termination and Cancellation
You can cancel your account at any time:
- Go to “My Account” > “Settings”;
- Click “Cancel Subscription” or “Delete Account”;
- Confirm the cancellation and choose whether to export your data;
- Receive confirmation by email.
Effects of Cancellation:
- After cancellation, you will have access until the end of the paid period (no pro-rated refund);
- Data is retained for 90 days for possible reactivation;
- After 90 days, all data is permanently deleted (backups may persist for up to 30 additional days);
- You can reactivate your account within 90 days without data loss.
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Use or platform policies;
- There is fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity;
- Payments are overdue for more than 30 days;
- You use scraping, bots, or unauthorized automation techniques;
- You share access credentials with third parties.
Suspension Procedure:
- Email notification about the identified violation;
- 5 business days for contestation or resolution;
- Immediate suspension in severe cases (fraud, illegal activity);
- Right of appeal through email support@ascent.app.br
Data Export:
Before canceling, we recommend exporting all your projects and data. After permanent deletion, no information can be recovered.
13. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Applicable Legislation:
- General Data Protection Law (LGPD) - Law No. 13,709/2018;
- Consumer Protection Code (CDC) - Law No. 8,078/1990;
- Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet - Law No. 12,965/2014;
- Brazilian Civil Code - Law No. 10,406/2002;
- Software Law - Law No. 9,609/1998.
Jurisdiction:
Any dispute or controversy arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the court of Aracaju/Sergipe, Brazil, to the exclusion of any other, however privileged.
Dispute Resolution:
Before resorting to the Judiciary, the parties agree to attempt to amicably resolve any dispute through:
- Direct negotiation: Contact our support at support@ascent.app.br;
- Mediation: If negotiation fails, the parties may opt for extrajudicial mediation;
- Arbitration: For commercial disputes (companies), arbitration may be mutually agreed upon.
Language:
The official version of these Terms is in Brazilian Portuguese. Any translation is provided for convenience only and has no legal value.

This section documents all significant changes to these Terms of Use, ensuring transparency and traceability.
